# Deadlines and data retention

> How long everydeck keeps events, evidence, protocol entries, visits and payments on the Free plan, and every deadline for links, keys, undo and deletion.

## How long data is kept

On the Free plan:

| Releases with source files | the latest 20 |
| Activity days of a person | until the person is deleted |
| Payments (from your app and by hand) | for good, until the environment, app or account is deleted |
| AI calls | for good, until the environment, app or account is deleted |
| Deleted data in backups | up to 7 days |

A case that stays open longer than its evidence is kept (90 days, counted from opening) is closed by everydeck and its evidence removed. If the error comes back, a new case opens.

On Free, a 90-day view can show at most 30 days of raw data.

There is no email when data reaches its retention time. The values are here and under **Settings › Workspace › Plan and limits**.

## Backups

everydeck's own database has daily backups. Deleted data can stay in them for up to 7 days. If a backup is ever restored, everydeck deletes the data again.

## Deleting a person

When you delete a person's data for privacy, everydeck also stops accepting new data with their id. See [People](https://docs.everydeck.ai/using/people.md#privacy-deletion-of-a-person).

If an account export was built before a deletion, everydeck withdraws it and deletes its file in the same step. The account page then says why and offers **Request download**.
